DK is ‘the only force on the left’

Ferenc Gyurcsány personally announced this on the 13th birthday of his party, which was once formed as a split from the socialist MSZP. From now on, the DK will present the candidates for the individual constituencies over a total of 106 days.

Csaba Molnár, Executive Vice-President of the party and MEP, said at a press conference that the DK is responsible for ensuring that voters do not have to choose exclusively between right-wing candidates. As is well known, only four parties currently have a chance of entering the next parliament, of which Fidesz-KDNP, Tisza Party and Mi Hazánk all categorise themselves as right-wing, conservative-Christian forces. ‘Only the social-democratic DK will be able to represent the world beyond the right,’ explained Molnár. ‘Without the candidates of the left, Viktor Orbán will not be defeated in 2026. We will not allow the voters of the left and social democracy to remain unrepresented!’
