Deputy Commander: Cyber protection important part of defence
Cyberspace is an important sector, and attacks on it may have a major impact on everyday life, Ferenc Kajari, the deputy commander of the Hungarian Armed Forces, said on Thursday.
Speaking at the closing event of a road show aiming to reach secondary school students with information on cyberspace, artificial intelligence, drones and robotics, Kajari said drones have been part of Hungarian defence since 2007. They are now used in reconnaissance as well as in bomb defusal, he said.
Szilard Nemeth, the Fidesz MP of Budapest’s 21st district where the event was held, said drones had been developing by leaps and bounds and were now part of civilian life as well.
The series of five conferences has reached some 1,200 students nationwide.
