Defence Minister attends recruitment open day
Hungary's defence minister, on a recruitment drive on Friday in Szentes, in southern Hungary, said the armed forces needed applicants for the sniper battalion equipped with the Lynx fighting vehicle and similar vehicles.
Kristof Szalay-Bobrovniczky told a press conference held on the occasion of an open day that the rate of development of the armed forces was now at a record high and they were now being rearmed with the most cutting-edge, NATO-compatible high-tech equipment.
Organisational and personnel decisions have been taken to ensure a modern, high-quality, well-led and determined force to protect the Hungarian people as part of NATO and with its support, he said.
