Clocks to change to summer time on Sunday
On Sunday, clocks will go forward one hour in Hungary. In line with the rest of Europe, clocks will change to summer time at dawn so that 0200 becomes 0300.
The international Dacia expresses running between Vienna and Bucharest will depart from Lokoshaza on the Romanian border already according to summer time.
The EU-standard change will slightly affect Budapest public transport timetables.
Hungary adopted the daylight saving system back in 1980. Under a 1996 government decree, summer time begins on the last Sunday of March and ends on the last Sunday of October.
