Central bank deputy governor elected to EU watchdog supervisory board

Csaba Kandracs, the National Bank of Hungary's Deputy Governor for supervision and consumer protection, has been elected to serve on the board of supervisors of the European Banking Authority (EBA), the central bank said on Monday.

Kandracs’s appointment is for 2.5 years.

The position is the highest held by a Hungarian official at the EBA for more than a decade, the bank said in a statement.
