Big cut to electricity network usage fees for non-residential consumers from January
Big cuts to fees paid by non-residential consumers for using the electricity network will apply from Jan 1, the energy and public utilities regulator (MEKH) said in a statement on Friday.
Nationally uniform usage fees apply under the law on electricity, and MEKH sets the fee each year, the statement said, adding that the transmission fee will be cut by 30 percent, while reductions to other fees, depending on the voltage level, will come to between 7 and 68 percent, so the fee reduction for non-residential consumers will be between 32 and 52 percent overall.
