All-Hungarian Secondary School Students Camp starts
The third All-Hungarian Secondary School Students Camp opened in Satoraljaujhely, in the northeast of the country, on Sunday.
Csongor Csaky, who heads the Rakoczi Association, said around 700 students were participating at the camp from other countries in the Carpathian Basin as well as Australia, the United States, Canada, France, Germany and Spain. He added that 35 summer programmes organised by the Rakoczi Association had attracted 15,000 Hungarian youths in 32 countries.
He noted that the campers had come to Hungary because their parents, members of the Hungarian diaspora, had decided, years earlier, to send them to Hungarian school.
“We Hungarians are a global nation,” he added.
