The ban currently covers eight hospitals of Budapest’s Semmelweis University, the Gottsegen Cardiovascular Institute, the Paediatric Cardiology Centre, as well as some departments of the South Pest Centrum Hospital, and the Szent Imre University Hospital.

Hospitals in Debrecen, Zalaegerszeg, Szombathely, Szolnok, Eger, Sopron, and Salgotarjan, as well as the Flor Ferenc Pest County hospital have similarly banned visits.

In some instances patients in serious condition can be visited with permission by the hospital management.
