The air quality in Putnok and Sajoszentpeter has deteriorated to “hazardous” levels and is classified as “unhealthy” in Miskolc and Kazincbarcika, NNK said.

Concentrations of particulate matter are also considered to be too high in Budapest, Dorog, Esztergom, Gyor, Hernadszurdok, Nyiregyhaza, Oszlar, Szeged, Szekesfehervar, Szolnok, Tatabanya, Tokol, Vac and Varpalota.

NNK said Sunday’s rainy weather, however, was expected to improve the air quality in these places.
