Margaret Island to host international film festival
An international film festival will be held on Budapest's Margaret Island between August 7 and 22, featuring European, Israeli, and Far Eastern films made in recent years, Budapest Film said in a statement late on Wednesday.
The films will be screened at the island’s athletics centre, rearranged as an open air cinema for the festival, organised by EUNIC Hungary.
The programme will include films such as Ferzan Ozpetek’s La dea Fortuna, Tigo Guedes’s Tristeza e alegria na vida das girafas, and Michael Steiner’s Wolkenbruch, all screened in original language and with Hungarian subtitles.
