Trade surplus widens to EUR 1.8 billion in April

Hungary had a 1.8 billion euro trade surplus in April, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a first reading of data on Wednesday.

Exports rose by an annual 8.8 percent to 12.5 billion euros. Imports fell by 3.5 percent to 10.7 billion euros.

Month on month, exports grew by 1.7 percent and imports edged up by 0.1 percent.
