Trade surplus reaches EUR 203 million in July
Hungary had a EUR 203m trade surplus in July, narrowing from EUR 1.124bn in June, a first reading of data released by the Central Statistics Office (KSH) on Thursday shows.
Exports grew 4.3pc year-on-year to EUR 11.751bn. Imports increased 7.9pc to EUR 11.548bn.
Trade with other European Union member states accounted for 73pc of Hungary’s exports and 70pc of its imports during the month.
For the period January-July, Hungary had a trade surplus of EUR 7.973bn. Exports fell 4.4pc to EUR 85.080bn and imports declined 8.5pc to EUR 77.108bn.
