Trade surplus reaches EUR 1.1 billion in June
Hungary had a 1.1 billion euros trade surplus in June, widening from 1.0 billion in May, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a first reading of data released on Monday.
Exports fell by an annual 10 percent to 12.2 billion euros. Imports dropped by 7.8 percent to 11.1 billion euros.
Month on month, exports were up 1.9 percent, while imports rose by 1.3 percent.
Trade with other European Union member states accounted for 76 percent of Hungary’s exports and 72 percent of its imports during the month.
