PPI up 11.2 percent in May

Hungarian industrial producer prices grew by an annual 11.2 percent in May, slowing from a 15.9 percent increase in the previous month, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Friday.

Prices for domestic sales went up by 36.5 percent, boosted by energy prices, while export prices fell by 1.1 percent.

Month on month, factory gate prices dropped by 1.6 percent, as prices for domestic sale slipped 2 percent and export prices declined by 1.4 percent.

In January-May, industrial PPI grew by 22.3 percent year on year, as prices for domestic sales rose by 48.8 percent, while export prices increased by 9.4 percent.
