PPI up 1.3 percent in July

Hungarian industrial producer prices rose by an annual 1.3 percent in July, slowing from a 6.4 percent increase in the previous month, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Thursday.

Prices for domestic sales went up by 19.5 percent, boosted by energy prices, while export prices fell by 7.6 percent.

Month on month, factory gate prices edged up by 0.9 percent, as prices for domestic sale inched up 0.4 percent and export prices rose by 1.1 percent.

Export prices of the manufacturing sector, which have a 90 percent weight in the PPI, fell by 2.1 percent.

In January-July, industrial PPI grew by 17.0 percent year on year as prices for domestic sales rose by 41.9 percent and export prices increased by 4.9 percent.
