PMI rises above 50
Hungary's seasonally adjusted Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) rose to 56.4 points in October from just below 50 in September, Halpim, the company that compiles the index, said on Wednesday.
A PMI under 50 signals contraction in the manufacturing sector.
Among the PMI sub-indices, the new orders index rose from the previous month and showed expansion, while the production volume index also rose, indicating growth.
