Investment volume falls 9.6 percent in Q1
Investment volume in Hungary shrank by an annual 9.6 percent in the first quarter of 2024, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Thursday.
Quarter on quarter, volume dropped by a seasonally adjusted 3.6 percent.
Investments were down an annual 9.0 percent based on seasonally adjusted data.
KSH said most branches of the national economy had contributed to the decline: investments in manufacturing and real estate as well as in logistics and agriculture weighed on the economy’s performance during the period.
