Hungary trade surplus EUR 1.1 billion in June

Hungary's trade balance in June posted a surplus of 1.1 billion euros, deteriorating by 411 million euros from the previous year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a second reading of data on Monday.

Exports dropped by an annual 9.9 percent to 12.3 billion euros, while imports slipped by 7.8 percent to 11.1 billion euros, KSH said.

In volume terms, exports fell by an annual 8.1 percent, and imports by 5.2 percent.

Month on month, export volume was down a seasonally and working-day adjusted 2.4 percent, while imports were up 4.7 percent.
