Hungary PPI falls to 34.9 percent in December

Industrial producer prices in Hungary grew by an annual 34.9 percent in December, down from 37 percent in November, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Tuesday.

Prices for domestic sale increased by 62.9 percent, while export prices rose by 20.7 percent.

Month on month, factory gate prices edged down 0.1 percent as prices for domestic sale rose 1.2 percent while export prices fell by 0.8 percent.

Domestic energy prices, which account for one-third of the PPI, jumped an annual 130.4 percent, while prices in manufacturing increased by 34.5 percent.

Export prices of the manufacturing sector grew by 19.5 percent, while energy sector export prices increased by 42.9 percent.

In the full year, prices grew by an annual 33.7 percent, while domestic prices up 51.7 percent and export prices increasing by 24.5 percent.
