Export growth slows in August

Hungary's export growth slowed further in August, giving Hungary a trade deficit of 751 million euros, a second reading of data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Tuesday shows.

Exports rose by an annual 4.2 percent to 8.3 billion euros. The pace of growth was halved from July. Imports climbed 18.7 percent to 9.1 billion euros.

Exports were stunted by shutdowns in the automotive industry due to supply chain interruptions.
