President in Vilnius to attend Three Seas Initiative summit
President Tamas Sulyok is in Vilnius attending a summit of the Three Seas Initiative (3SI) taking place on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters before the event, Sulyok said the summit will focus on further developing the initiative, with heads of state, strategic partners and other invited guests in attendance.
The president said 3SI was important to Hungary as a central European country bonded by shared history and culture with other countries of the region, and the initiative was about uniting central Europe in terms of infrastructure and development.
Prior to the summit, Sulyok presented Hungary’s Order of Merit, the Knight’s Cross, to pianist and music teacher Muza Rubackyte, who is president of Lithuania’s Liszt Ferenc Society, for promoting Liszt and his oeuvre.
