Orbán to travel to Serbia on Tuesday

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will attend a meeting of the Hungary-Serbia Strategic Cooperation Council in Palic, in northern Serbia, on Tuesday, according to the prime minister's press chief.

Serbian PM Ana Brnabic will attend the session, and the Hungarian and Serbian presidents, Katalin Novak and Aleksandar Vucic, will also be present, Bertalan Havasi said in a statement.

The strategic partnership and friendship between Hungary and Serbia “hugely helps Hungary to handle the unprecedented challenges it currently faces, namely the Russia-Ukraine war, the sanctions-generated economic crisis, illegal migration, and energy security,” the statement said.

Confirming reports, Havasi said Orbán will pay an official to visit Sarajevo before travelling on to Banja Luka on Thursday.
