All biographers should have it so "easy": Andy Warhol was a lifelong hoarder and collected items obsessively until full shopping bags took up entire rooms of his New York townhouse. Art critic Blake Gopnik had access to this mountain of engagement diaries, business letters, love notes, theatre tickets, tax returns and more – all he needed was a few years to study some 100,000 or so original documents stored in Pittsburgh's Andy Warhol Museum.
