The state development bank has taken out a ‘mega-loan’ with a volume of 150 billion forints (365 million euros).

The MFB Group intends to use the fresh capital to further intensify its recently expanded activities in 2025. According to the state-owned financial institution, this is one of the largest borrowings in MFB’s history.

The five-year syndicated loan is granted by Erste Bank Hungary Zrt., K&H Bank Zrt., MBH Bank Nyrt., Raiffeisen Bank Zrt. and OTP Bank Nyrt. as syndicate leaders. MFB is expanding its business scope in order to support the objectives of economic policy. This primarily involves the provision of low-interest loan structures for SMEs.
