Market completes BMW factory

Market Építő Zrt. has been preparing the 400-hectare site and building the entire infrastructure with a total value of EUR 367 million since being awarded the contract by the Bavarian car manufacturer in spring 2019.

This included an extremely complex and technology-intensive factory hall covering 140,000 m2, a separate pre-assembly plant with associated infrastructure and three smaller buildings with a total area of 9,000 m2: the training centre, the company fire brigade and the control centre for the sprinkler system for the plant complex. In addition to production, offices, logistics, machine technology and sanitary facilities were also integrated into the huge main hall.

The Market Group was able to increase its sales revenue slightly last year from 306 to 321.7 billion forints. At the same time, however, profits fell from 34 to 21 billion forints.
