Hundredth Jysk branch opened
The Danish furniture group continues its expansion in Hungary with the opening of its hundredth shop in Debrecen.
The first JYSK shop was opened in Fót in 2005. The regional distribution centre in Ecser, which opened two years ago, now supplies 300 stores in five countries. Hungary was the seventh country outside Denmark into which JYSK expanded. The group is now represented in thirty countries, according to Sándor Szimeiszter, JYSK Country Director for Hungary, Austria and Greece.
Sales at the Hungarian branches totalled 76.4 billion forints (approx. 200 million euros) in the past financial year, an increase of 14% on the previous year. The company plans to increase sales by 6% in the coming year. The Group employs around 1,000 people in Germany.
