Graboplast inaugurates HUF 1.1 billion SPC flooring plant
Special flooring maker Graboplast on Thursday inaugurated a 1.1 billion forint (EUR 3.0m) 2,400sqm SPC (Stone Polymer Composite) flooring plant at its base in Tatabanya, in western Hungary.
The investment was supported by a 317 million forint government grant, contributing to the retention of more than 500 jobs, Peter Szijjarto, the minister of foreign affairs and trade, said at the ceremony.
Szijjarto said the government continued to focus on supporting internationally competitive companies as a cornerstone of raising the country’s exports, a key element of the Hungarian economy. Fully 90 percent of Graboplast’s production goes into exports, he added.
