Competition Office suspects cartel activity behind Budapest boat procurement
Hungary's Competition Office (GVH) has launched an investigation into a public procurement tender concerning boat services on the river Danube as part of Budapest's public transport system under suspicion of cartel activities between the bidders, the authority told MTI on Thursday.
The authority said it had received a report suggesting that participants had had talks “concerning their quote prices and to determine the winner”.
The GVH has searched bidders’ premises and obtained data which are currently being assessed, it said.
