Hungary Q3 GDP contracts by 4.6 pc

Hungary's economy shrank by 4.6 percent in the third quarter, according to a second reading of data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Tuesday.

The three-month rolling employment figure in August-October was down 0.8 percent at 4,482,000 from the same period a year earlier, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Friday.

Economy to contract 6.5 percent in 2020

The European Commission published its autumn economic forecast on Thursday, projecting Hungarian GDP would fall by 6.5 percent this year. The projection is an improvement from a 7.0 percent decline in a forecast published in July.
