February inflation 8.3 percent

Hungary's consumer price index rose by an annual 8.3 percent in February, a high not last seen since August 2007, and up from 7.9 percent in the previous month, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Wednesday.

Forint recovers after reaching new low

The forint traded at 380.77 to the euro around 5.30pm on Wednesday, regaining some ground after hitting a new record low of 383 earlier in the day.

Investment volume edges up 0.2 percent in Q4

Investment volume in Hungary rose by an annual 0.2 percent in the fourth quarter of last year supported by investments from businesses, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Tuesday.
