August CPI climbs by 15.6 percent

Consumer prices in Hungary rose by an annual 15.6 percent in August, up from a 13.7 percent increase in July, driven by higher food and consumer durable prices, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Thursday.

Industrial output up 4 percent in July

Hungarian industrial output rose by an annual unadjusted 4 percent in July, up from an increase of 1.5 percent in the previous month, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Wednesday in a first reading of the data.

Guest nights up 15 percent in July

Guest nights spent in Hungarian commercial lodgings were up 15 percent year on year in July at 3,758,000, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Tuesday.
