It was originally due to close on 12 January. So far, the exhibition has been seen by over 15,000 visitors.

The exhibition offers an insight into the hidden moments in the life of the Mexican artist and opens up a new perspective on the passionate and moving fate of one of the emblematic figures of Latin American art. After her death, Frida Kahlo’s personal collection was moved to her house in Mexico City, known as the ‘Blue House’.

Photographer Pablo Ortiz Monasterio, an expert in the history of Mexican photography, selected the exhibition material from the archives. The exhibition shows 241 previously unpublished photographs that Frida Kahlo treasured, depicting different periods of her life.
