Hungarian film wins Best New Director at Chicago film fest
Hungarian director Lili Horvat's film, Preparations to be Together for an Unknown Period of Time, has won the Gold Hugo Prize for best new director at the Chicago International Film Festival.
The film, a love story merging reality and imagination, features Natasa Stork and Viktor Bodo as protagonists, with Robert Maly as director of photography. Other actors include Benett Vilmanyi, Zsolt Nagy and Andor Lukats.
“Preparations…” has already garnered the Critics’ Fipresci Award at the Warsaw film fest and Stork was awarded best actress at the Antalya festival.
The film opened in Hungarian cinemas on September 24.
