El Greco exhibition attracts close to 150,000 visitors
An exhibition of the work of El Greco, a Greek painter of the Spanish Renaissance, at Budapest's Museum of Fine Arts has drawn close to 150,000 visitors since it was opened last October, the museum said on Saturday.
The show features more than 50 works by the artist, including six owned by the Museum of Fine Arts and others lent by more than 40 private and public collections, such as the Prado in Madrid, the Museo del Greco in Toledo, the Louvre in Paris, the National Gallery in London and the National Gallery of Art in Washington.
The exhibition closes on February 19, but will be open 9am-7pm on Sunday and from 9am-8pm the last two weekends.
