Apparently this will stop people from smoking. Now, this being an EU thing is according to her, but I can easily believe it. Over the years EUreaucrats have come up with the brilliant ideas of banning bananas with an extreme or unsightly curvature, ruling that there was no evidence to suggest drinking water prevented dehydration, banning diabetics from driving, banning large vacuum cleaners and, well, the list goes on. It isn’t so much the money they spent on such ridiculous legislation that’s bothering me but more the fact that they think we are stupid. Come to think of it though we are indeed stupid, because we still haven’t risen up and taken out the politicians who had these brilliant ideas for a bit of electroshock therapy…
