Vienna, October 29 (MTI) - A Hungarian bus crashed on an
Austrian motorway early on Monday, local police reported.
Initial information says three people died, three suffered
severe injuries and 21 others were hurt but not seriously. The
accident occurred near the town of Modriach. The injured were taken
to nearby hospitals
The bus was carrying 42 for the most part young people and was
returning to Hungary from a sports event in Milan.
The cause of the accident is not yet known. Apparently, the
vehicle skidded into a concrete barrier and then fell into a ditch
alongside the motorway, tipping over onto its side. Guido Trischnigg
of the motorway police said the driver might have fallen asleep at
the wheel, because there were no brake marks on the road.
