Luther Gobert, Fest & Partners Attorneys at Law and Tax Advisors celebrated their membership of international tax advice network Taxand last Tuesday at a large-scale reception in the magnificent Hungarian Academy of Sciences building.

Managing Partner Dr. Arne Gobert also used the opportunity to introduce the tax department of his expanded law firm. Some 250 guests attended, including representatives of the embassies of France, Japan, Romania and Switzerland. The German Business Club and the Italian and British chambers of commerce were represented.

Guests included well-known Hungarian actor Róbert Koltai, the CEO of Ferencváros football club Krisztián Berki and even the legendary captain of the German team that won the World Cup in 1990 Lothar Matthäus, who as trainer of the Hungarian national team has a flat on Rose Hill in Buda in addition to his flat in Munich. He is always happy to spend time in Budapest, Matthäus told The Budapest Times.
