Lewis Hamilton’s blow-by-blow account of the German Grand Prix
Thursday, 31 July 2008

ImageYou looked particularly comfortable in the opening laps – were you pushing hard?

I was definitely pushing! But the car felt so good at the start of the race that it wasn’t difficult to push to the limit. I’ve said it before, but we’ve really transformed this year’s car over the past six weeks. It’s now so well-balanced and responsive that it just feels fantastic to drive – you can always trust it and get something more out of it – and I was actually enjoying those early laps because I was able to get into a nice rhythm. I think my start was almost perfect, too.

The boys from Essex will now share the reward getting 78 500 each and it seems the Bentley GT Convertible for Ronnie is just going to have to wait. Check out both 147s and O'Sullivan's interview.

Communists stole labour movement’s moment
Wednesday, 11 August 2010

ImageBob Dent searches for some missing history.

When I first came to Budapest in the 1980s there was a memorial plaque on the façade of the Műcsarnok or Hall of Arts in Heroes’ Square. The plaque commemorated a massive workers’ demonstration of 1 September 1930. The marchers had passed through Heroes’ Square on their way to City Park. In recent years it has struck me that the plaque is no longer there.
