State secretary of foreign affairs Gábor Iklódy summoned Iranian ambassador Ali Reza Irvas to explain the tense situation that followed the disputed election results in Iran. According to the ministry, at the meeting Iklódy rejected the Iranian allegation about certain EU states interfering with the domestic policy of Iran and voiced Hungary’s concern about the treatment of protestors as well as the representatives of the international media.
