The Kendermag Egyesület (Hemp Seed Association) expect around five thousand to attend their annual demonstration for the decriminalisation of marijuana use, on Margit Island on Sunday, 10 May. Kendermag chief Péter Juhász said the event, Hungary’s contribution to the Global Marijuana March, will take place behind a cordon and be patrolled by private security guards hired by the organisers. Previous events have been interrupted by anti-drug protesters. The organiser added that Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai has been invited to the event, man.
