NewsBKV scandal curbs MSZP
The former deputy mayor of Budapest and Hungarian
Socialist Party (MSZP) MP Miklós Hagyó last Tuesday withdrew his
candidacy in the forthcoming general election and resigned his seat on
the city council. His move followed pressure from the party leadership
amid concerns over Hagyó’s proximity to a corruption scandal.
