Footballers escaping death and other amusements from the region

Romania’s Dinamo Bucharest football team cheated death last week after
a bird strike forced their plane to make an emergency landing. The
players were on their way to play an away game in Iasi (northeastern
Romania) when a flock of storks collided with their plane, leaving it
