Solyom announced that Hungary will send experts on the West
Balkans to Prague, to share experience with their Czech colleagues.
The president also spoke highly of business ties between Hungary
and the Czech Republic, and said that the two countries considered
each other "honorary neighbours".
Klaus told a press conference that the Czech Rep, as EU
president, will make an effort to "return the dialogue on Europe’s
energy policy to a certain level of reason". The Czech president
argued that the goal was to provide Europe with an appropriate
amount of cheap and efficient energy rather than wage "an irrational
war" against consumption.
On his ties with his Hungarian counterpart, Klaus said: "we know
and understand each other well; we don’t have to start all over
again each time we meet."
Klaus is on a one-day working visit in Budapest.
