Contraband cigarettes seized in Budapest

Budapest, February 1 (MTI) – Customs officers seized 150 million
forints (EUR 581,400) worth of contraband cigarettes at a depot in

Budapest, February 1 (MTI) – Cloudy skies expected throughout
the day triggering sporadic rain and even snow in the western,
southwestern border region. Winds may pick up from the south,
southwest and may gust to high.Nighttime lows should range from 1 to 6 degrees Celsius, and

President Solyom expresses condolences over military helicopter crash

Budapest, February 1 (MTI) – President Laszlo Solyom has
expressed his condolences in a private letter to the family of the
crew member that died in a military helicopter accident, the
president’s office told MTI on Friday. The helicopter, with a crew of four on board, crashed between
Torokszentmiklos and Oballa in central Hungary on Thursday. One
