Budapest, January 24 (MTI) – The construction of Hungary’s
largest wind power park is nearing completion, MTI learnt on
Thursday. The 23 megawatt power plant complex near Sopronkovesd (W) is
being built by Hungarowind, using eight turbines purchased from
Vestas, the world’s leading wind turbine manufacturer. The developer has not disclosed the cost of the project, but one
megawatt wind power capacity is estimated at one million euros. Continue »

from the northwest early in the day, and then slowly dissipate. Scattered showers are possible as are snow flurries in the
northeast, with a chance of sleet elsewhere. Northwest winds will be as much as 50 km/h in the western
regions of the country. Nighttime lows should range from -6 to -1 degrees Celsius,
